Battle Royale is a game mode in Pikmin 8: The World Beyond unlocked by defeating the Crammed Wraith. Every Pikmin from story mode, as well as four exclusive Pikmin, is available to use in this mode. Discovering a Pikmin type in story mode also unlocks it for use in this mode. Battle Royale supports offline play and local and online play.
Content
Pikmin
Each Pikmin has a unique ultimate ability.
- Red Pikmin – fire breath: burns all players and does 5 damage to them.
- Yellow Pikmin – shock ball: stuns players for 10 seconds.
- Blue Pikmin – hydro pump: soaks all players and removes 10% of their total health.
- Purple Pikmin – slam: stuns players for 20 seconds.
- White Pikmin – poison gas: poisons all players and does 10 damage to them.
- Rock Pikmin – crystal hailstorm: crystal nodules fall from the sky and do 20 damage to players they hit
- Winged Pikmin – tornado: 50% chance to knock some players off the area.
- Ice Pikmin – ice blast: 50% chance to freeze and knock some players off the area.
- Green Pikmin – spring attack: uses its spring to jump and slam players and it has a 50% chance for a player to get crushed.
- Orange Pikmin – bomb rock rain: rains bomb rocks and has a 50% chance to knock some players off the area.
- Black Pikmin – blindness: stuns and blinds players for 10 seconds.
