The Pendulous Wracknit is the titular "crooner" faced at the end of the Crooner's Inlet in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze. This large barnacle-like miniboss clambers around on the ceiling in loose angular movements towards Pikmin and occasionally stops to emit a haunting call that is represented by a wide radius, positioned below the creature. Much like the Antenna Beetle, Pikmin that wander within the radius of this sound are pacified and drawn to walk directly underneath the Pendulous Wracknit against the leaders' orders. Once enough Pikmin have gathered below it, the Pendulous Wracknit lowers itself within range of Pikmin throwing height and extends its feeding tentacles, leisurely plucking its stupefied prey from the ground and eating them one by one.
Pikmin enthralled by the Pendulous Wracknit can be saved by calling them back right as the beast lowers in to attack, but this requires quick reactions as the window of opportunity is slim. From there, it can be attacked while it is still within throwing range, although Winged Pikmin can also be instructed to attack the creature while it is still wandering about.
