Commodore House is one of the caves in the Awakening Arctic in Pikmin 2: New Year. The theme of the cave is based on the Commodore 64, one of the earliest computers which involved Windows. White Pikmin are discovered in this cave alongside many retro-themed treasures. The total price of treasures in the cave is P2 Poko icon.png × 790, with the The Key being the main treasure. This cave's theme, Windows 95 Maze, is based on a music track from the original Commodore 64 called Passport.mid. According to the Ship, the cave is completely generated by a computer, possibly meaning that the entire cave is some sort of hologram or simulation.

How to reach

I do not understand the signals my sensors are getting. As if the environment below is the creation of programming. What kind of cave is this? This may be different from previous underground journeys. – The Ship, upon discovering Commodore House

The cave's entrance is located near two Toady Bloysters, a paper bag, and Violet Dirigibug. Clear the way to the cave, and bring Red Pikmin and Purple Pikmin inside.

Sublevel 1

Sublevel 1 of Commodore House.

Numerous sheargrubs guard the sublevel's only treasure. Defeat them and collect the Proton AA before moving on.

Sublevel 2

Sublevel 2 of Commodore House.

This sublevel is filled with fire hazards. Take out the blowhogs and geysers, preferably with Red Pikmin due to their fire resistance. Shearwigs can be very dangerous, so it is advised to swarm small groups of them with a massive amount of Pikmin.

Sublevel 3

Sublevel 3 of Commodore House.

This sublevel is a rest sublevel. The Ivory Candypop Buds here allow the discovery of White Pikmin. Kill the Honeywisps to flower any Pikmin that may need it. Locate the Nouveau Table, dig it up with White Pikmin, and collect it before moving on.

Sublevel 4

Sublevel 4 of Commodore House.

This sublevel contains the most enemies of any sublevel in the cave, as well as gas pipes. When faced with numerous enemy types, start by killing the Bioluminescent Wollywogs, the most dangerous enemy on the sublevel, then Male Sheargrubs, then Female Sheargrubs. Kill the dweevils, or let them take the corpses to claim the treasures without too much of a struggle.

Sublevel 5

Sublevel 5 of the Commodore House.

A Brass Snagret is on this floor. Use Red Pikmin and Purple Pikmin to attack the snavian. If the snagret does not get stuck in the ground upon emerging, move out of the area. Otherwise, swarm its head or throw Pikmin on it. White Pikmin can also be used to poison and kill it. Once it is defeated, it will spit up The Key. The Mamuta and eggs on this sublevel can be used to reflower any Pikmin with a maturity lower than flower.
