The Burrowing Snarrow appears in Pikmin 251. It behaves much like the Burrowing Snagret, partially burrowing out of the ground to try to eat leaders and Pikmin that approach its position. It looks much like a Burrowing Snagret, having a blue, serpentine body and a cream-colored head with a yellow beak, but its body is a much lighter shade of blue. Fight it aggressively to minimize Pikmin casualties, always inflicting enough damage to cause it to flinch so that it may not attack.
Notes
Olimar's observations
- “After talking all about the Burrowing Snarrow in my logs from the past, I finally get to see one in person! Like I wrote before, it resembles the Burrowing Snagret, but with white scales instead of blue. Like many of the creatures I've seen this time, it is quite a bit stronger as well.”
Cookin' with Louie
- “The scales of this serpent make for great serving dishes. The meat tastes standard, nothing special about it.”

Attacks | Eats and burns Pikmin, causes panic |
In Pikmin: Sinister Incinerator, the Burrowing Snarrow appears in the last dungeon in the Highland Field, the Dark Field Cave. It behaves similarly to a Burrowing Snagret, but its scales are a deeper shade of blue, and the feathers on its head are the same color as its dark blue skin. Its eyes glow green like an Armored Cannon Beetle. This creature is much more dangerous to fight because when its head pops up, it can shake from side to side to send out shockwaves around where it is currently rooted in the ground. These shockwaves can easily knock over Pikmin, making them easy targets for the quick enemy. It can also scream, scaring the Pikmin into running in all directions. It also has one more attack and a bizarre one at that for the snavian species. After its health wheel is depleted to one-fourth or more, it will be able to breathe fire at Pikmin. The strength and range of the fire are similar to that of the flamethrower wielded by the Titan Dweevil. After the long fight is over, it is revealed that the creature was under the influence of a dark spore, which explains why this specimen acts so differently from what is known of the Burrowing Snarrow.

Attacks | Eats Pikmin |
In Pikmin: Wrath of Mr. B, Burrowing Snarrows are similar to Burrowing Snagrets in shape, but have lighter blue scales, light gray head feathers, and, most strikingly, dark stripes on the tail and neck. These creatures are more common than Burrowing Snagrets, serving only as minibosses because they can't go underground and they move very slowly, allowing Olimar to swarm it with Pikmin until it dies.

Attacks | Eats Pikmin, crushes Pikmin |
The Burrowing Snarrow is a far deadlier version of the Burrowing Snagret, as it has more health and is capable of capturing more Pikmin than the latter. It also has armor on its head made of the same material as its beak, so wait until it pulls more of its long body out of the ground to crush your Pikmin, then swarm either of its exposed cheeks when its beak is stuck.
