Collapsed Reef is the second cave in Creature's Quay from Pikmin: Shipwrecked Stargazers. Although it starts similar to it's first cave, Humpback Heights, later sublevels take place in bizarre chambers within the deep blue ocean. They have walls made of a thick, unbreakable crystal that allows one to view into the surrounding waters, and various vibrant pieces of coral provide obstacles and protection.

How to reach

It is imperative that the player has unlocked Blue Pikmin before attempting to reach the hole into this cave. In the big, circular area with the first Barnagon, there is a long land bridge leading to an island covered in bleached coral. This bridge dips into the water, even if the tide is at it's lowest point, non Blue Pikmin would be unable to cross unless the player destroys the underwater Clog, draining the water to a point where it will no longer obstruct them. This must be done to let Yellow Pikmin across, so they destroy an Electric gate on the other side of the land bridge.

Sublevels

Sublevel 1

Similar to Sublevel 8 of the Dream Den, this room is a giant spiraling room, with some water at the bottom and you at the top. Salty Armurks lurk in small corridors, with their rolling attacks being blocked by walls so they don't all fall into the center. The one closet to the bottom holds the Vampiric Victim, while the corridor the first one hides in leads to a chamber of which houses a Red Bulborb, which holds the Melty Ingot Lite. The water pool at the bottom houses a Hermit Crawmad, which holds the Cetacean Skeleton. The hole to the next sublevel is behind the Research Pod.

Sublevel 2

This peanut shaped room is the transitional area between the sea caves and the coral domes. It begins in an area with a pair of Watery Blowhogs, one of which has the Curdled Nut. Use your Blue Pikmin to dispatch those swine pests. There is a hole in the wall blocked by a Dirt gate.

Behind this gate is a similar room where the walls are made of crystal. Rock Pikmin cannot shatter this and the floor is now made of sand rather than rock. A trio of non intrusive Seacaps rest along the walls, but most dangerously, four Water Dumples surround the hole forward. one of them has the Globular Taxidermy.

Sublevel 3

This sublevel is a massive circle, taking place in what's essentially a natural bio-dome housing a forest of bright, healthy coral. Small dips of land are filled with water, infested with Tropical Blinnows. a giant cage of bleached coral conceals the Coarse Surfboard, and to reach it, one must find an Iron Ball, held tightly within a curled branch of coral. push it out, and it will tear right through this cage and slam into the crystal wall, which causes a giant leaking crack to appear on it.

Medusal Slurkers and Flying Spotted Jellyfloats provide aerial attacks, and a curving path through the coral forest leads to a small chamber with a mound of sand, dig through it, and you will find the Flexible Pail. The hole deeper is located near a giant barrel sponge, surrounded by a ring of Coastal Sheargrubs.

Sublevel 4

A much more condensed, maze-like area. There are many paths to take, and some have distinct dangers to behold. A few Fiery Blowhogs will try to torch your army, and two pathways are guarded by Water Dumples. A pathway has high ledges made out of the rocks coral reefs are built around, and Yellow Wollywogs will jump down from them. A third high ledge actually has the Battle Whistle on it, requiring Yellow Pikmin.

The other treasure, the Voltage Tanker, is hidden behind an Electric gate, itself blocked off by a Hermit Crawmad. Undoubtedly the biggest annoyance is the ridiculous amount of Seacaps, especially since they spread an obscuring mist around upon destruction. The hole is located down one of the two Water Dumple guarded paths, but as a nasty surprise, a Hermit Crawmad has nested inside of it. Defeat the crustacean or simply wait for it to lunge out to proceed.
