Attacks Drowns Pikmin

The Precipitating Skysnail is an enemy in Pikmin: Shipwrecked Stargazers. It resembles a giant clione with a body made entirely out of a watery gel. Its central body is a pink sphere of muscle, and it has two extremities that vaguely resemble eyestalks with glowing spheres for eyes. The Precipitating Skysnail will idly fly around in a set path like a Nectarous Dandelfly. Whenever it crosses paths with Pikmin, it will spin around and scatter droplets of its bodily fluids. These droplets will drown whatever Pikmin they touch. They hang just low enough for Blue Pikmin to reach without much issue. When defeated, their bodies lose cohesion and harmlessly splatter, leaving nothing but their central sphere body.

Notes

Olimar's notes

Although their name might suggest otherwise, this creature is actually... not a mollusk of any type. Like members of the fryid family, this confounded thing has a fluid body, with all of its organs contained within spheres inside. Unlike the pyra, it has no solid body to anchor itself. Rather, it is capable of floating through the air with its weirdly articulated body. One theory suggests it is capable of movement thanks to some sort of psychic power nestled within its central orb. One must wonder if we'll ever find the truth.

Louie's notes

Boil the central orb in its own gelatinous fluids until it's darkly colored and pruned. Drizzle caramel sauce over the dessert and top with a dollop of whipped cream. The hint of mint truly ties it all together.

Ship's comments

Of course evolution willed THIS into being. The planet just needed something to directly inconvenience me, myself, and I.
