Rust Labyrinth

Rust Labyrinth is the second area traversed in Pikmin: Other Frontier, it is the location where the White Pikmin and Cleaner Pikmin get introduced.

Environment

Rust Labyrinth takes place in an underground muddy area bordered with rusty walls. As the name suggests it is quite confusing to traverse at first due to the many water hazards being impassible at first and the newly introduced poison and mold having their own difficulties to them, despite this the area is also a great Pikmin grinding area due to the many types of monsters inhabiting the damp hallways of this labyrinth.

Landscape

At first the main entrance to Rust Labyrinth is blocked by a poison bramble gate, by heading to a side road you encounter White Pikmin struggling against an attacking Burrowing Snagret, after the bird is slain it drop a strange treasure which immediately converts into a White Onion, this allows you to get the supplies necessary to pass the poison wall.

The main path is filled with corners and puddles, some crevices even have bomb rocks to collect once you gain Yellow Pikmin, the central area has many members of the Grub Dog family including Red Bulborbs and Rust Bulblings, the water areas have Toady Bloysters and Shearskates as enemies.

Mold enemies appear in the upper areas, mainly Moldy Jellyfloats and a single Fungal Bloyster contaminating an entrance to a cave. From there two Pat's are open, on the east their is a small labyrinth inhabited by a Spotty Bulbear and its kids and on the right is a Breadbug den surrounded by Water Dumples

When the water area flooding the lower segment is drained it reveals various hazards such as poison vents, [[Shearwig]s and a single Anode Bulblax.
