The Kettlebug Remix is a species of large kettlebug that appears in Pikmin Evolution as a boss. It is essentially a giant Radio Beetle, despite the two being unrelated aside from being in the same family, and instead of having speakers on its antennae, it has a pair of speakers on its abdomen, one on each side. The Kettlebug Remix also has much larger feet than most kettlebugs, being able to crush Pikmin with each step. The environment this creature inhabits is notably flat and smooth, almost like the stage of a discotech. Upon first arriving, the leaders must defeat a small group of Amp Bulblings dancing to the beats of the music it makes. While the Bulblings retaliate, and during the next few conflicts, the Kettlebug fires supersonic pulses from its mouth, pushing anything in its path back a great distance and potentially into a abyss. When the Bulblings are taken care of, a pair of Boomburst Bulborbs appear. Finally, when the Bulborbs are no more, a single Dandy Dandelion rises from the ground, and after it is defeated, the Kettlebug Remix jumps into the arena, kicks the corpses away, and personally engages the Pikmin and leaders.

The Kettlebug Remix is a quite dangerous foe due to the fact that it stomps erratically, making its feet hard to dodge, and that it regularly fires sonic pulses from its sides. Damaging the oversized kettlebug requires attacking its head, which it periodically lowers as it bobs it to the beat of the song it creates. If the attacking Pikmin are not called away in time, the Kettlebug will unleash a scream so loud that any Pikmin still latched onto its head will be flung into the abyss with no chance of saving them. Starting from when it reaches half-health, the Kettlebug Remix ceases firing sonic pulses only to stomp its feet to tilt the battlefield, making it harder to walk on. All the while, it summons bolts of lightning in time to the crazy beat of the background music. During this time, the Kettlebug also spits crystalline projectiles that can be deflected by Pikmin throws, again in time with the music. The lightning the Kettlebug Remix summons also forms a shield around itself, rendering it immune to all attacks except those from Wisp Pikmin. Naturally, the constant shaking of the battlefield doesn't make their infamous fragility any easier to deal with. To break the shield, a Pikmin must be thrown at a crystal at just the right moment so as to avoid it tilting the arena and to deflect it at the electrical shield around the Kettlebug. Accomplishing this electrocutes the boss and allows any Pikmin type to attack it. When it reaches one-quarter of its health, the Kettlebug Remix enters a final phase wherein it takes flight and fires more sonic pulses in a last-ditch effort to knock the Pikmin and leaders off the stage as it tries to flee. The battlefield itself also changes to a conveyor belt with the leaders and the boss on opposite sides. The leaders must memorize the music's beat and weave through the sonic blasts, and when close enough perform, one final swarm to take down the crazy insect and end the equally crazy fight. In the end, the troubles caused by the Kettlebug will be paid off in full as it drops a valuable piece of refuse, a fitting reward for such an involved battle.
