The Wraith Sniper is an enemy that appears in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. The creature resembles a smaller version of the Waterwraith, being an amorphous, humanoid creature made up of a clear, bright blue, watery plasm with a dark blue core. However, along with the two long ears on the wraith's head, the wraith's right arm is extremely elongated, double the size of its other arm. This longer arm is much more chiseled, and thicker, and seemingly resembles a real-world sniper rifle with a scope attachment. A red laser projects from the front of its sniper-arm, helping it to aim.
The Wraith Sniper is found primarily in the Wraith Crystal Cavern, but can also appear elsewhere in Overlord mode if a Wraith Blob assumes its form. The Wraith Sniper remains idle, as it prefers not to move away from its origin point. However, if it manages to spot leaders with its superior range, it will make sure to keep a good distance from them and the Pikmin. The Wraith Sniper will then aim its gun arm at the nearest group of Pikmin, before firing a large, precise shot of plasm at the squad. If it manages to connect with any Pikmin, or if it hits the wall or ground, it will explode and release a small rain of plasm. This plasm will choke any non-Blue Pikmin that are caught in the aftermath. Once the Wraith Sniper fires, it will reposition itself to a more strategic location if necessary, before aiming and firing another shot. The Wraith Sniper will never fire in the same spot twice. When confronted, the Wraith Sniper will transform its sniper-arm into a stout barrel, from which it will blast a large amount of plasm in a manner much like a shotgun, choking many more Pikmin than its sniper fire. The Wraith Sniper will alternate between its two weapons depending on its distance from the Pikmin.
Due to the plasm that the Wraith Sniper can fire, using Blue Pikmin to attack the enemy is the best approach. Using Ice Pikmin to freeze the sniper can also work as well due to its watery properties. Be careful when approaching the wraith, as it can quickly change its gun type when approached.
In Overlord mode, the Wraith Sniper's sniper bullets will explode and release acid instead of water. The shotgun bullets do not explode into acid, but they are filled with poison, making them even more dangerous than before. The Wraith Sniper has double the range as well.

The arm of the wraith can be morphed into various armaments, no pun intended, using different elements to take out prey at close and long range. In more vicious battles when their lair is raided, Waterwraiths will use these Snipers to take out the predators from afar.”
