The Ultimate Goolix is a new creature discovered in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. Resembling the Goolix, it starts out as a very large, watery cell puddle. However, when approached, the creature will morph itself into a large, gooey pillar with two large arms with fists. The nuclei within will glow a burning red, and the battle will begin.
The Goolix will attempt to crush Pikmin by slamming its fist into them. This attack can kill any Pikmin type. If performed, small bits of goo will cover the area, causing Pikmin to choke. However, during the period when the fist is still on the ground, Blue Pikmin can be sent to grab the fist, as other types will drown. The Blue Pikmin will pull the Goolix forward and make it lose its balance. The beast will then fall to the ground and burst, goo flying everywhere and its nuclei being exposed. Pikmin can attack the nuclei before the creature regenerates yet again. Weighted Pikmin cannot be picked up or drowned by this boss.
As the fight progresses, the Ultimate Goolix will gain different attacks. It will grab bits of its body and throw it at the squad, and the goo will drown Pikmin unless they are whistled out. Along with this, the creature will try to grab non-Blue Pikmin and pull them inside of itself to kill them. Rarely, the Goolix will jump high into the air and aim for the group to crush and kill all Pikmin there. If unsuccessful, the Goolix will again burst, leaving it vulnerable for a few seconds.
When defeated, it will boil up and explode, leaving behind its nuclei. Defeating an Ultimate Goolix for the first time will grant the "The Ultimate Goolord" achievement.

- “A new type of cell puddle has been discovered. This species of Goolix is much more intelligent than its original counterpart. Despite mainly being a vegetarian that feeds off of the plants on the ground, the Goolix will not be afraid to reveal its true form, one used mainly for self-defense; however, its large fists and slender body display many structural flaws. The Ultimate Goolix has a photographic memory, being able to recognize just about anything it sees even after months pass.”
