The Snowflake Den is the first cave explored in Pikmin: Dawn of the Food Chain. Located deep in Winterfrost Woods, the cave consists of three sublevels and contains three treasures. It is also free of hazards, making the cave an unthreatening place.
Sublevel 1

- Dwarf Red Bulborb × 5
This sublevel consists of a basic layout and features one small room with two branching paths connected to it. One path leads to a room with a few Dwarf Red Bulborbs, the other path leads to a room that consists of one treasure, and three Bulbursa Cubs, which are not necessarily dangerous unless seen in groups or if their mother expresses anger.

This sublevel also consists of a basic layout and features a large arena. In the center of it are four Bulbursa Cubs guarding the sublevel's sole treasure.
Sublevel 3

This sublevel is where the boss, a sleeping Grizzly Bulbursa, resides. A group of Purple Pikmin are found hiding in a corner of the chamber to prevent waking the Grizzly Bulbursa. Although using them against the boss is optional, and preferred, they must be used to destroy a gate leading out of the arena and to a treasure surrounded by five Dwarf Red Bulborbs, as well as the escape geyser
