Attacks Crushes Pikmin

The Bludgeoning Chryswart is a member of the chrysanthemum family in Pikmin: Dusk and Dawn that evolved to mimic the Burgeoning Spiderwort, unlike its cousin, the Creeping Chrysanthemum, which mimics the Margaret. Its five eyes are located at the "stem" of its body, closely resembling the ultra-spicy berries of the real plant. Its skin resembles that of a pear, with brown spots covering it. The stem is thin but starts and ends in a bulbous shape. It has four, slightly worn leaves at the base of its stem, which act as its arms and can stretch and extend, although they aren't really that useful other than sweeping the Pikmin off of its body. At the bottom of its stem, its "roots" hang below its body, being a light, sickly whitish-green color. Its roots aren't really roots, however, but feelers, for sensing vibrations under the ground to ambush prey. From its body sprouts three vine-like legs, covered in the same brown and green spots as the stem, once again resembling the skin of a pear.

When Pikmin or leaders get close, it will spring out of the ground, sending those close to it flying. It will then attempt to use its giant head to crush Pikmin, like a mace. Due to its tall stature, Pikmin will automatically attempt to climb up the stem if they aren't thrown at the creature's weakpoint, its eyes. After some seconds of being attacked by Pikmin, it will shake its head violently, swatting at its stem with its stretchy leaves, and then proceed to run around, trampling Pikmin in its wake, and sending leaders flying. When it slams its head to the ground, it gets momentarily stunned, providing ample time to throw Pikmin onto its head. When defeated, its legs and roots shrivel up and disappear, its petals wilt, and its eyes drop from its head. The body and eyes are separate, carryable objects. After collecting all of its remains, the creature is worth fifteen seeds or twelve Pokos total.

Notes

Olimar's notes

Bludgeoning Chryswart / Beriraxale mimcinia / Chrysanthemum family. Although it can provide a good scare on the first encounter, its five beady eyes are its weak spot. Throw Pikmin onto them once it slams its head onto the ground. Make sure to stay clear of it when it emerges, unless you want to be sent flying.

Louie's notes

Its eyes are the only good-tasting thing about it, as everything else tastes like wet dirt. Finely cut the eyes up along with the eyelids for a savory topping to your pasta. The leaves can be used as a garnish.

Chacho's notes

Not much to note about this creature... Maybe I could sell its eyelid skin as some sort of rare leather.

S.S. Twilight's notes

The Bludgeoning Chryswart is another species found in the chrysanthemum family. However, while most other species use their plant mimicry as a form of hunting, the Chryswart uses it as self-defense. They tend to blend in with plants, spending their days absorbing nutrients and minerals from the soil to survive. If the area is not suitable for living, it will pop out of the ground and hunt for richer grounds. Due to its disguise as a Burgeoning Spiderwort, species of Whiskerpillars and Pikmin will try and consume the berries disguising its eyes. In an act of self-defense, it will attempt to smash its large clumps of eyes into the ground along with its attacker, although it is an inefficient way of protecting itself. As a result, the Bludgeoning Chryswart is endangered, most being found in isolated areas void of smaller insects.
