The Rainbow Goolix is a member of the cell puddle family that is able to change the color of its membrane, also changing which Pikmin can attack it. It can become blue, yellow, red, or purple, not necessarily in that order, and only Blue Pikmin, Yellow Pikmin, Red Pikmin, or White Pikmin can attack it then, respectively. Purple Pikmin are also useful for destroying a Rainbow Goolix, but caution must be exercised to avoid their deaths. When killed, the Rainbow Goolix will evaporate and leave behind its two nuclei, each of them being worth one hundred Pikmin seeds in total.
