Areas

Treasure Land

Treasure Land was a title leaked to the public along with a brief summary:

Treasure Land

A large shopping mall, collect all the treasure you can find, but watch out for shopping humans! Yellow Pikmin are a necessity as they can reach many shelves the others can't.

The lead programmer, Peach Bulborb, is speculated to have scrapped the area. It quite possibly may have been redesigned into the real Treasure Land world of the same name.

Sky Fortress

At E3, an area by the name of Sky Fortress was seen. By all appearance, it looks as if the player is on a windy roof. Winds are so strong that only Purple Pikmin can adventure on windy days without being blown off. Although fans testing the area did not notice any pattern as to which days where windy and which were not.

In the final version of the game, such an area was not seen. However, the lucky 100 fans to receive Pikmin: Invasion of the Giants: Platinum Edition would find two new areas, the previously unseen Sky Fortress and another area called the Platinum World. Both were not seen anywhere else.

Combo Flowers

Peach Bulborb said in an early press conference that he was considering inventing some way to combine pikmin to give the new pikmin traits from both. However, this idea was obviously scrapped in the final version.

The Treasure

A treasure that was seen in a demo at E3 included a large, crab-like boss that dropped a medallion. On the medallion was a green flower and the text "Pikmin Fanon". This treasure and enemy where not seen in the final version.
