The Icebreaker Crawmad is a boss in Pikmin: Spark, where it is the third major boss and major boss of the Chilling Frontier. It is a giant blue crawmad with a large hooked dorsal fin and cyan underbelly. It is found under a gigantic frozen lake where you can see the giant crustacean swimming and catching anything unfortunate enough to slip on the frozen body of water. It holds the Sparklium Distiller, an item that could help distill the Sparklium collected and liquefy it into a pure medicinal fluid for consumption and as such is needed for progression. When fighting the Icebreaker Crawmad the giant beast will attempt to use the ice to its advantage by attempting to catch any pikmin that tripped on the slippery surface. While you can see the creature under the surface of the frozen lake the best way to track it is to notice the giant dorsal fin it has cutting the ice. This fin has hooks on it that can be used by Winged Pikmin to fish out of the lake and reveal its soft underbelly. However, be careful as the crawmad is still dangerous even when it doesn't have the underwater advantage as it can still pounce and eat your Pikmin like a normal crawmad. It can also scatter spines from its dorsal fin that can block shots by the captains, scatter a thick layer of snow to trap them, and shoots a beam of icy water that can freeze most Pikmin and drowns those that are immune to freezing. When it gets the chance it will dive back into the frozen lake and continue its usual attacks. While you just need Winged Pikmin to actually fish and damage the crawmad out of its den, Hairy Pikmin are recommended to take to this fight as their immunities to slippery surfaces, ability to break to the thick snow, and higher attacking power will complement the Winged Pikmin greatly.

Upon death the Icebreaker Crawmad drops the Sparklium Distiller which is worth HP Sparklium icon.png × 600 and allows you to head to the Fertile Savanna.

Ultra-Spicy Differences

Can shoot the beam of icy water from under the frozen lake and the hooked dorsal fin requires more Winged Pikmin to pull it out
