Furnace Desert is the third area unlocked in Pikmin: Rediscovery. As the name suggests, it is a scorching desert full of withered plants, cacti, and sand. Many portions of this area deal with different hazards, needing Pikmin resistant to fire, shock and even lava. In addition to all the hazards, this area holds the greatest amount of enemies in the entire game, although most may seem familiar. Blue Pikmin and Carmine Pikmin are found here, and both are extremely useful for getting a good bit of the twenty fruits also found here.
