Unlike most Dweevils, Foundation Dweevils do not use an element. They often pick up smaller elemental Dweevils and place them on their heads to form a tower of Dweevils, but they never pick up other Foundation Dweevils. Foundation Dweevils are an intelligent Dweevil subspecies, and possess a basic understanding of Pikmin possessing immunities to a range of hazards and having power in numbers. So, the Foundation Dweevil serves as the foundation for the tower of elemental Dweevils it builds over itself, hence the name. Foundation Dweevils do not include Volatile Dweevils in their Dweevil towers, but they may be used against a tower of Dweevils to bring the entire stack down. Alone, Foundation Dweevils are harmless and run away from Leaders and Pikmin. It's exoskeleton extends beyond the actual top of it's legs, creating a sort of cylinder that Spitball Dweevils use for footholds. The interior of the cylinder has been coated in the sticky substance that Sticky Dweevils use, and it's legs and head are covered in crystal armor created by Calcifus Dweevils. A Spitball Dweevil is found on each of it's legs, and atop it's head is a Calcifus Dweevil that created footholds for itself, and on top of the Calcifus Dweevil is a large stack of dweevils, containing Fiery Dweevils, Caustic Dweevils, Anode Dweevils, Munge Dweevils, Chill Dweevils, Acidic Dweevils, Sticky Dweevils, Oily Dweevils, Surprenant Dweevils, and Withering Dweevils. It serves as the boss of (TBA) Cave.
