'''Dwarf Purple Bulborbs''' make an appearance in Pikmin: Attack of the Breadbugs. They are about the size of an adult [[Bulbmin]], but their jumping attack can only kill seven Pikmin at a time. They can appear in groups of three to seven. They usually tend to stay near a main path, so dealing with a group of Dwarf Purple Bulborbs may be necessary. Strangely, they make the sound of an adult Bulbmin walking once when they jump and once when they land. Use [[Purple Pikmin]] to give them a swift death.

The Dwarf Purple Bulborb is another Breadbug subspecies first seen in Pikmin: Connection of the Worlds and mimics the Purple Bulborb. It is usually found near Purple Bulborbs, but are sometimes independent. It's normally found in the Ancient Valley, but sometimes goes to strange habitats like the Frigid Cavern.

Appearance

It looks like a Dwarf Red Bulborb in shades of purple, but is also the size of a parent Bulbmin. Therefore, it's slightly heavier and contributes to its jumping attack.

Attacks

This foe, though small, has about 1,000 hit points (the Red Bulborb having 750) making it a bit of a battle. Its usual attack is eating, but it can eat 3 Pikmin at a time. When half of its life remains, it has a new attack: jumping. When it lands, it will kill any Pikmin underneath them. This attack can kill up to 15 Pikmin. It's also slightly faster than the Red Bulborb and more aggressive.

Strategy

Basically the same for defeating normal Bulborbs, but watch out for its jumping attack. Throwing Purple Pikmin is the best choice, as they stun it and it will be unable to do its jump. Swatting it with the captain is also a choice, but it's not recommended for best results.
