The Bug-Eyed Crawmad is a miniboss whose appearance is similar to that of the Hermit Crawmad, but it possesses distinctly large eyes protruding out of its head through eyestalks. Instead of appearing from only one hole in the ground, it can switch between two different holes. It resembles stout lobster or shrimp-like crustaceans whose claws resemble those of squillas but are related to hermit crabs.
The Bug-Eyed Crawmad is a larger crawmad that has eyestalks as its weakpoint.

The Combustible Crawmad is an uncommon species of crawmad with fire-based elements. Like most crawmads, this creature will dash out from its nest to consume Pikmin. However, if at a distance, it will instead spew long-range flames that can engulf Pikmin. Fortunately, they can be easily avoided, but can be quite annoying.

The Fountain Crawmad is a distinctly blue relative of the Hermit Crawmad. Upon detecting a nearby leader or Pikmin, they raise their heads from their burrows and spray a jet of water at them. To Blue Pikmin it is nothing but a taunt, and it may knock them over or cause them to lose their flowers.

The Hermit Crawmad is the first known member of the crawmad family, and are known for their variance in sizes. These enemies live their lives in holes and pop out when prey approaches. With a quick lunge, they can catch their target, reel back, and feed on it in its burrow. The Hermit Crawmad is a semi-passive creature. It sits inside its hole and is usually found around watery areas, although it can survive on dry land as well. It will peek out of its hole when the Pikmin or leaders approach it and it will attack if one gets too near to its dwelling. It attacks by charging out of its hole and grabbing a Pikmin, then backpedaling to its nest, where the Pikmin is eaten. If it misses, it will turn around and return to its dwelling, slower than usual. It can climb walls if it is necessary for it to get back to its nest. While sitting on the nest and peeking out, if it can no longer see prey nearby, it'll retreat inside.
The Hermit Crawmad will launch out of its den to drag Pikmin back and eat them.

The Icebreaker Crawmad is a large, cyan blue Crawmad. The creature lives under the ice of a lake. The beast will attempt to capture any Pikmin that slip up and fall on the surface of the ice. When its fin is exposed, [[Winged Pikmin]] can lift the Crawmad out of the water to attack its underbelly. When the creature is out of water, it can still attack and eat Pikmin,

The King Crawmad is the largest species of Crawmad ever known. During the fight, it will constantly attempt to grab you and your Pikmin, crushing them in the process. It can also create tremors and waves by slamming its claws into the ground. While fighting underwater, it can't swim, but is still able to launch out of the water.

The Oily Crawmad is a subspecies of the Hermit Crawmad. It has a green shell and a gray body. The Oily Crawmad never leaves its burrow, instead choosing to partially emerge from it and launch globs of oil at passersby. This oil, if it gets on the active leader, will cover the screen with black splotches and make it difficult to see what is happening in-game.
The Oily Crawmad may use lubricant to protect itself or is covered in it.

It looks like a Hermit Crawmad with a red body instead of green, and it has an extra mouth that it can grab Pikmin with. It can be swarmed, unlike the Hermit Crawmad. Just be careful, as it has quite a reach. If Pikmin are caught by it, then attack the second jaw to release your Pikmin.

It is a giant yellow crawmad that has purple dots on its shell and has red eyes. It somewhat resembles the Bug-Eyed Crawmad in both shape and size. Juvenile Ultimate Crawmads appear in Sandy Beach also and are fought as minibosses. The Ultimate Crawmad and its offspring stand out from other crawmads in that they spew poison from their mouths when agitated, in addition to the regular attacks they use to subdue their prey.
The Ultimate Crawmad is exceptionally powerful and may spew poison.
