A bomb egg is a type of bomb rock appearing in Pikmin: Invasion of the Giants, specifically in the Forgotten Sandland. It appears as a black egg, and it is large enough so that Yellow Pikmin are not able to carry it. A bomb egg's life meter will only deplete as it takes damage, much like attacking an ordinary egg. Upon being destroyed, a bomb egg will explode. Leaders that have the Boom Guard equipped will not be hurt by explosions, making them useful for clearing out bomb eggs.
