The Aero Snagret is a boss appearing in the game Pikmin: The After Years. This creature is like the Pileated Snagret except that it has a pair of wings and has twice the health and defense. Its feathers are yellow and its body is red. The Aero Snagret always stays airborne, high enough that only Yellow Pikmin can reach it. The Aero Snagret attacks by divebombing Pikmin and can snatch up to ten Pikmin at once. The Aero Snagret may also choose to fake a divebomb. The only way to attack the Aero Snagret is to coax it into divebombing into a wall, causing its beak to become stuck and boulders to fall from the sky due to the quaking caused by the impact. Purple Pikmin can be used to stun the creature to delay it from freeing itself, and the occasional bomb-rock that falls from the ceiling along with the boulders can be used to inflict even more damage to it.

- "Another subspecies in the snavian family, this snagret has developed wings unlike its predecessor, the pileated snagret. Its wings have given it the ability to fly. Most of the time it will usually fly, however, should its wings get badly damaged it will hop on its single foot. Its beak has grown significantly bigger, allowing it to not just attack ground-based creatures, but air-based creatures as well. Another note is that due to their aggressiveness, they have developed higher defense than other snavians. Approach with caution!"
In Pikmin 4 (Wii U)
The Aero Snagret also appears in Pikmin 4 (Wii U) as the second major boss in story mode. It is orange-colored, always stays above ground, and has two feet. The battle against it is the same as in Pikmin: The After Years.
Cutscene
Upon entering the Aero Snagret's arena, a cutscene begins. The leaders see three eggs, and Alph feels uneasy because the eggs are much larger him. A massive Aero Snagret lands, screeching at the Pikmin and clutching its eggs. Then it flies and becomes airborne, gusting the Pikmin back. The battle begins afterward.
