The Hijacker Snitchbug is very similar to the Bumbling Snitchbug in that it only targets leaders, unlike Swooping Snitchbugs which kidnap both Pikmin and leaders alike. This creature will swoop down and abduct the nearest leader and will eventually slam them back into the ground to deal damage, but before doing that, the Hijacker Snitchbug will immediately make a beeline for the landing site of the Research Pod and deposit the leader there, often dragging them far away from their Pikmin. The Snitchbug can still be intercepted by Pikmin attacks during its kidnapping and will release any captured leaders if it is grounded by enough Pikmin.
