Blooming Sliturnip is a boss that has what resembles a flower bulb as its head and a long vine as its tail. It slithers around, and when it sees Pikmin, it charges at them to eat them. There is no limit on how many Pikmin it can eat at a time, and at a distance, it can spit out acid, which kills Pikmin in its range. After taking enough damage, it begins its second phase, its tail splitting into four limbs to walk around with and catch Pikmin to eat. Additionally, it can spit acid projectiles twice in a row and regurgitate a large acid ball that rolls along the ground, gradually shrinking as it travels and leaving a temporary trail of acid in its wake. It also can project spikes from its tail and whip it around to impale Pikmin and eat them. The weight of ten Green Pikmin can pin the Blooming Sliturnip to the ground, making it vulnerable to attack. Alternatively, wait for its head to lower, which is when it is about to use its tongue, and just high enough for thrown Yellow Pikmin to reach. Be wary of the pink smoke it exhales while it is attacked, as it causes Pikmin to panic. When defeated, it withers away, revealing a treasure it had ingested: the Scary Castle.
