The Sporedrill is a vicious enemy found in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. The creature looks like a typical Spornet, but its glowing abdomen is replaced by a large drill. Along with this, its eyes are also orange. The creature will fly around, mainly over Pikmin family, whereupon, after a 3-second preparation period, it will drill directly down into the ground, killing up to 5 Pikmin caught in the attack. Rock Pikmin will only be buried by this attack. However, after drilling, the Sporedrill will be stuck, being vulnerable to attack. If enough damage is dealt to the creature, its drill will explode and the creature will die. Otherwise, it’ll pop back out after 5 seconds and attempt its attack again. Iguana Pikmin can take the Sporedrill down with their ranged tongues at any time.
