The Somnolent Blowhog is an enemy in Pikmin: Shipwrecked Stargazers. It resembles most terrestrial blowhogs but with a faint lavender color and pink snout. Its eyes look noticeably tired in comparison to the scornful looks of other terrestrial blowhogs, and it both moves and reacts slower than them as well. They spray a sparkling, lavender-colored mist that puts Pikmin to sleep. Sleeping Pikmin must be whistled multiple times to wake them up. They are ultimately a mere nuisance and are easily disposed of.

- “This species of blowhog uses an incapacitating agent to put trespassers to sleep. This gas is similar in structure to halothane, and is remarkably potent, especially in comparison to most modern anesthetics. So much so, in fact, that it affects the behavior of this creature as well. They have no sleep schedule and are suggested to be cathemeral by experts.”
