The Rooted Pine is a member of the chrysanthemum family appearing in Pikmin E: Remastered. It is unique in the sense that it only appears in underground areas, taking the form of the roots of a Rising Pine, usually being embedded into the ceiling of a cave. Upon being approached, it will prepare its long, spiked, root-like limbs, and then thrust them downwards, skewering any Pikmin that comes in contact. Otherwise, the creature is harmless. It also cannot be killed, due to its main body being usually embedded into the ceilings of the area it inhabits, leaving it a permanent nuisance.
