The King Mamuta is a boss in Pikmin Ultimate X. It is a gargantuan Mamuta that has a paper crown on its head, a collar around its arm, and lots of vegetation growing on its uneven shoulders. When idle, it can be seen battling members of the arachnorb family. To those unaware, it may seem to be nothing more than an oversized Mamuta, but it has quite a history.
Long ago, when an ancient civilization was evacuating PNF-404, a small child found this Mamuta. This child was in awe with how the creature was taking on the deadly radiation that was slowly enveloping the planet. He gave it a collar and told it that one day, he would come back for it. This Mamuta waited for thousands of years for its master, who never returned. On the verge of death, this Mamuta had flashbacks of when it was small and the child found it. It refused to give up hope. It had grown to an incomprehensible size, dwarfing even the Sovereign Bulblax, and defeated every other mamuta in the area. It had to hold on just a little longer.
