The Firewisp is a relative of the Honeywisp. Its insides are red and it carries a ball of fire on its tail. When it is hit by a Pikmin, it drops its fireball, which explodes into a cloud of fire once it hits the ground. This fiery explosion cannot instantly kill Pikmin but it does ignite them unless they happen to be Red Pikmin. Much like the Acidwisp, it is an aggressive honeywisp species.
In PikSpore, it will drop its fireball when Pikmin are underneath it. The fireball quickly regenerates, making beating this dangerous enemy difficult.
In Pikmin: Connection of the Worlds, these beasts are a common sight at fiery and hostile places. It acts like the Honeywisp, different than in Pikmin: The After Years and PikSpore. Again, however, it does hold a fireball underneath the main body. If it is defeated, be wary that sometimes a dose of an ultra-scorching spray may drop, rather than a fireball.
