The Eiysee is a young pupilgeist appearing in Pikmin Evolution, being the younger form of the Eiyseeyuu. It is a rather small enemy resembling a red eye, with a pupil that serves as a fanged mouth. Eiysees dwell in dark caves, where they immerse themselves within walls alongside their larger counterpart, the Big Eiy, giving the impression of the walls quite literally having eyes, making the environment they are found in much creepier. When prey such as leaders or Pikmin enter their habitat, the Eiysees pop out and begin to attack. Eiysees are quite basic behaviorally; they mainly attack with forward lunges in an attempt to snag prey before eating them ravenously. The Eiysee can snag up to two Pikmin with a lunge, so they aren't that dangerous alone. However, Eiysees are social creatures and often encountered in hordes, either from walls or the mouths of Eiyseeyuus, so their fast eating becomes a problem.

Fortunately, Eiysees are quite frail, only needing one or two hits to kill. Alloy Pikmin are especially effective, as their shockwaves can inflict major damage to the swarm. If Alloy Pikmin are unavailable, using a blue syrup to splash a swarm of Eiysees with waters is equally as effective, as they are too fragile to withstand the liquid and will die upon exposure. If there are only a few Eiysees, simply using Pikmin alone will do, as syrups are generally rare to come by. Overall. the Eiysee is a simple creature to defeat, but its surprising speed and hunger make it a threat that shouldn't be underestimated.

Notes

Ivy's journal

There are many creatures that bother me just on a fundamental level. Phosbats, Toxstools, and most of all, the pupilgeist family all give me the creeps. The Eiysee is the young form of the Eiyseeyuu, which remains in their parents' bodies until they are grown enough to be safely expelled into the wild. They hang out with others of their species and group together to hunt in packs for food, mainly carrion. An Eiysee can only mature into an Eiyseeyuu when it eats a balanced diet of calcium, iron, and potassium, after which its outer body will rupture into the airborne body of its adult form. However, those that lack this balance will continue to grow and become too big to fully mature, becoming neotenic in the process.

This is best cooked fried in thick batter and slathered with oils and vinegar. Turns out you can get anyone to eat anything if they don't know what they are actually eating.
