The Curdew, pronounced cure-dew, is a fairly common but easy-to-defeat canine-like enemy appearing in Pikmin: Adventure of Four. It has light gray, cream, or brown fur and brown or blue eyes. While it initially appears harmless, a Curdew will change into a rabid beast with messy fur, also revealing its sharp teeth and its eyes turning red and beginning to glow when Pikmin or leaders draw near. It will then attack, using its claws to grab up to three Pikmin at a time to eat them. Red Pikmin and Green Pikmin are most effective because of their high attack strength, but Cat Pikmin are all but useless because of their fear of Curdews.
