The Cryptid Taxidermy is a treasure in Pikmin: Shipwrecked Stargazers. It is a plush of a Dunsparce from the Pokémon franchise that values at × 100, has a carrying weight of ten units, and can be carried by a maximum of twenty Pikmin at once.
The Cryptid Taxidermy is located on the fifth sublevel of Fang Chute. Fragments must be used to build a fragment bridge to reach up to a raised portion of land the treasure is on. The Cryptid Taxidermy is surrounded by a ring of fire geysers, so Red Pikmin must be sent in to retrieve it. Dwarf Red Bulborbs might intrude on the transportation process.

- “Snakes with wings? And I thought I've seen everything! Granted, I haven't actually seen any of these flying snakes yet, but the discovery of this object implies some sort of intelligent life-form here at least somewhat thought of the idea. Come to think of it, I have yet to actually see any real snakes on this planet; the closest there has been were the snavians, who are more bird than snake. Perhaps if I look hard enough...
PS: I'm currently at the foot of a misty tunnel leading into the heart of this cave. If the Research Pod's sub-surface scanners are to be believed, this might be the lair of the "dragon" he detected! Perhaps I'll find my answer within...”
