The Bark Candypop Bud is a candypop bud in Pikmin: The Continents that grows only on the bark of Hantres, leeching nutrients from the plant. Although this behavior is relatively harmless for taller Hantres that can absorb much sunlight and water, it can be detrimental to smaller ones, even to the point that the tree receives so few nutrients that it can no longer survive, killing it and the candypop bud itself. Because of the flower's typically elevated position, Pikmin that desire to become a Climbing Pikmin often must find or construct a way up to it to be able to convert themselves.
