The Chlorozoa is a species of bacterial organism appearing in Pikmin Evolution. They are enlarged single-celled organisms of a lime green coloration and contain a single yellow nucleus resembling an eye. They are very rare enemies, only appearing in a few select plant-themed dens or spawning from the severed body of the Flarlic Queen, and are comparable to Ujadani in Pikmin 2 as appear in a select few places in the final area, in this case, every thirty days in Titan's Fortress. The Chlorozoa is a strange enemy behavior-wise as while a direct Pikmin toss is enough to kill one instantly, the creature's gelatinous body will instantly absorb any Pikmin that attempt to swarm it, causing the Chlorozoa to grow in size and then split into multiple duplicates of itself.

As the Chlorozoa appear in large swarms, one wrong move can quickly decimate the squad and replace its Pikmin with these tiny nuisances. However, just standing back and accurately throwing Pikmin trivializes encounters with them. The rewards for killing a swarm of these bacterial creatures are pretty sought after, as each non-duplicate Chlorozoa will generate 1-3 random syrups previously fermenting in the creature's stomach upon death, easily resulting in an unimaginable wealth of syrups with the right tactics and the knowledge of where they creatures reside. Be careful one using Alloy Pikmin, as while the shockwaves they create can kill a whole squad of Chlorozoas at once, they won't drop syrups, making finding them a waste. Rather, use Germ Pikmin, as they can not only attack the creatures without problem, but their acidic taste can kill an entire swarm with just one bite without forfeiting their syrups. Overall, the Chlorozoa is a unique little enemy, one that harkens back to an obscure secret from a previous game while providing a fresh take on the idea it presents.
