Log 1

Hello, we are P4H. We recover the lost history of PNF-404. Here is some info about the forgotten tale of Captain Bob. He is Olimar's cousin 27 times removed and the captain of the S.S. Goob. He has a wife named Barb and 3 children named John, Gabe, and Jesse. For work, Bob is a dog trainer on Gaia, under the employment of the Rescue Corps. Bob came to PNF-404 to save Olimar, as he is family, and like him, ended up crashlanding on his first visit to the planet. He found Blue Pikmin not long after. Bob hated Louie with a burning passion the first moment they met, and the two have been rivals ever since.

As for Bob's ship, the S.S. Goob, it is red with purple stripes. Notably, it has been on a mission to save Captain Ducky from Louie, who stole it in the first place, and return it to Captain Charlie. Its artificial intelligence is stronger than any before it.

Log 2

According to the S.S. Goob's memory database, Captain Bob keeps a photo of himself and his family stored on his ship, and also archives footage of his adventures recorded with a camera on his helmet, though the videos have been corrupted. All that's left are encrypted data files. Through the family photo, it is shown that Bob has blue eyes, red hair, and a big nose similar to Olimar's. He also has a body type like Olimar's but a head like Louie's. His helmet sports an antenna with a green beacon. His ID badge reads "A humble dog trainer with a love for dogs and a stronger love for family; ID no. 700 365 457 572".

When we got in contact with Captain Bob, all he had to say was "Hello, I'm Bob. I just want to say thank you for wanting to hear my story. I’ll keep the reporters up to date on everything that happened, but to be honest, I don’t really remember because I hit my head on the way out of the atmosphere. So, as we recover everything, you’ll be learning about it."

Log 4

We at P4H have recovered two corrupt data files that repaired by our technicians. On them were Bob's logs describing his adventures on PNF-404.

Day 1

“I have crashed on PNF-404. My ship wasn’t damaged much but the power fuses broke and my food was destroyed. I need energy and food. Luckily my rival Louie has been here before and cooked the creatures that live here. I stole his diary that had the recipes. 25 steps from my ship was an Onion. My cousin Olimar, whom I came here to save, told me all about them as he has been here too before this. The Onion was blue, and when I touched it, it sprouted hairy legs and shot out a seed. It was a Blue Pikmin according to Olimar. It only released one seed because it has no nutrients when the Pikmin that live in it have all died, making that Pikmin extinct. I plucked the seed and the Pikmin looked at me so closely it was looking at my soul. Then it climbed up me and tried to boop my nose but failed because of my helmet. It then carried a pellet to the Onion, which ate it up and made two more seeds. I plucked them and then spouted some more Pikmin after a while. I was getting hungry. As if they read my mind, the Pikmin ran off and came back with a giant fruit! ...And a strange gray ball. My ship, the S.S. Goob, absorbed and it refueled my ship just enough to blast for the night. As it was late, I blasted off for the night, and I put Louie’s diary under the engine so it burned. The fruit would feed me so I didn’t need the recipes. The Onion took off as well. I juiced the fruit on the ship and used the remains to convert to energy.”

Day 2

“I landed back down with the Onion in a new location I call the Blurry Marsh. It’s a giant marsh covered in a constant fog year round no matter the weather. I called the Pikmin to my side and found a cave. Needing more energy and food, I jumped in. I found it seemed to be a forest underground somehow... I was confused but I went on. Then a Mama Sheargrub attacked me and the Pikmin. We fought back and killed it they took it to the ship’s research pod. It said “What, why did they give this to me!? Wait, I think I can use this–zZzZzZzZz! Complete. I can turn it into energy! This can only be done in a cave as the Pikmin will use the body for nutrients on the surface.” We went on and found a fruit. We brought it to the ship and left the cave. Strangely, time seemed to stop while we were in the cave, as it was the same time as when we entered. We found a giant energy ore mound outside the cave–that's what I’m calling the gray balls of energy the Pikmin brought it to the ship–and then we found wild Pikmin fighting a Bulborb. They had red eyes and were small. We fought the Bulbrob and took it down. The wild Pikmin came to me. They were White Pikmin! Then it was time to blast off for the night. The S.S. Goob let the White Pikmin in the cargo hold because they don’t have an Onion.”
