Candle Phosbat Pods appear in Pikmin: Spark as red nest-like structures from which Candle Phosbats emerge. Each pod spawns up to five offspring before closing, only opening afterward to replenish the population of any killed. They have a waxy appearance and upon destruction melt into tar, which not only is sticky but also explodes when exposed to an elemental hazard. Combined with the amount of fire often in the vicinity of it, a Candle Phosbat Pod can become extremely dangerous. They are best destroyed by Goo Pikmin, as they are immune to explosions, can clean the tar, and may use bomb rocks to neutralize all pods in a large area. Upon the Molotov Phosbat's death, all Candle Phosbat Pods shrivel up and become infertile.
In Ultra-Spicy Mode, Candle Phosbat Pods explode when destroyed, meaning only Goo Pikmin can safely destroy them.
