In Pikmin: Global Breakdown the Waterwraith Virus is a floating cloud of gas that is colored like a rainbow. In it are two nuclei, a smaller, harder one and a larger, softer one, much like the ones a cell puddle has. The Waterwraith Virus gets its name due to its shape resembling that of the Waterwraith's. How it came to be is unknown, but it is thought that the splicing of the genetic coding of either the Waterwraith or the Goolix is the reason. Who or what is responsible is also unknown. Because the Waterwraith Virus is poisonous, only White Pikmin can be used to safely harm it.
