The first and third hardest area. The first and last Earthly cave is located here, and it's one you all remember. Depending on the pikmin type you choose to start out as is the order in which you will complete things here. Remember that all guides for PR here are written as if you have chosen Red Pikmin to start out with.
Ah the open fields of the untamed wilds! The beginnings and ends of many adventures happened here, most of them led by an endeavoring space captain. This is where great leaders are made.

This first area is very different from the others. It is a vast wilderness filled with creatures and landscapes molded from an uncaring god's hands. The enormous trees hang low to the ground, full of autumn leaves that may conceal danger on the floor below. Directly across from the landing site is a rock wall blocking access to the Nightmare Den, where many unassuming adventurers have met their doom in the past. Through the hidden hole in the large oak tree on the other side is part of the main HUB barred by a large fence made up of several black and white gates blocking the every-growing hoard of beasts from entry in Olivert. Several guards patrol this border, and if you are nice enough they may momentarily lower one of the gates for you.

All along the landing site there are walls, all but one of which are either poison or stone or both! The only wall you can use is the northernmost one that is just a plain wall. Through the wall is the level's hub. Do you know where you are now? That's right, it's the Wistful Wild! The hub is The Final Trial's landing site and where the Burgeoning Spiderworts with both kinds of berries were. You landed where the Hole of Heroes once was. There are two walls here. One is a rock wall, and the other is a steel wall. Through the steel wall, only breakable by the oxidizing effects of the Pink Pikmin, there are two paths:one leads to the Feeding Grounds and the Wistful Wild landing site. the other leads to the Nightmare Den and an upgrade, the Silver Whistle.

Area Overview
