The Spotstool is a species of Sporovid appearing in Pikmin: Spark as a miniboss. Appearing in dens they have red-colored caps with large pale flesh-like lumps on them giving it the appearance of a Kingcap. They appear quite clumsy, trippy quite often even when not attacked, and usually move with an awkward waddle. However, that belies the personality of a dangerous carnivore, as after getting back up from tripping itself it will close its large cap and trap anyone inside for consumption. Luckily the boss has low health meaning it should be easy to take down... Or it would if it wasn't for the fact that it splits apart into three smaller clones when damaged enough. These clones act as smaller and faster versions of their "parent" and when damaged enough these clones will split into three smaller clones which will either disintegrate or leave behind a small corpse when defeated. When the entire spotstool is defeated the Tangy Capsule, a container of garlic powder worth HP Sparklium icon.png × 200, is dropped.

Ultra-Spicy Differences

If two clones are left alone they will combine back into their previous stage, this can be good for grinding, however.

Notes

Abel's medical journal

Muscles are intriguing, the cells can combine together and form more durable molecules.

Lyn's sale review

You can create great bricks out of these, the material binds together and regenerates after getting damaged.

PIX's creature scan

Sporovids that dwell in dry areas. Muscles have regenerative properties. Highly aggressive for a type of fungi.
