The Speckled Catacombs is a cavern located in the Burning Lands in Pikmin: Revenge of the Darkfreeze. It is where Bronze Pikmin, as well as areas to practice using them and Green Pikmin, are found. It has a significant Darkfreeze presence, so be cautious.

Sublevel 1

A circular, arena-like chamber with a sand pit in the center. The Shadowy Shard is held by the Darkfreeze Wollywog.

Sublevel 2

  • Darkfreeze Bulblax × 1
  • Dwarf Green Bulborb × 5

A maze-like sublevel. The Majestic Vegetation is held by one of the Dwarf Green Bulborbs, and the Hel Ring is held by the Darkfreeze Bulblax.

The Fragment of the Past is held by one of the Mamutas.

Sublevel 4

In the center of the sublevel is a Gold Pikmin. She can speak, to Olimar's surprise, and asks if she can join him. Olimar obliges, and the Gold Pikmin becomes a playable character.
