The Prince Bulblax is a bulblax that serves as the boss of Barren Battlehole and a mini boss in the Cave of Critters. It has a brown face, a stone crown formation on its head, destructible rocks covering its red backside, and a long, green tongue it uses to catch Pikmin. Prince Bulblaxes can vary greatly in size, as the one found in Barren Battlehole is massive and takes up its entire arena, and the several found in the Cave of Critters are the size of a Fiery Bulblax. Additionally, it can jump to crush anything it lands on, and it can spew balls of acid.

- "This peculiar species of grub-dog is a beastly, more aggressive kind of bulblax. It lashes out at small prey and other bulblaxes for food and dominance as well as finding a mate. It usually loves to dwell inside of black pits and dark, dirty crevasses for food. It has the ability to spew out acidic projectiles, which is not common in the grub-dog family. Spontaneous research has proved that this creature is actually the offspring of an emperor bulblax with an extreme testosterone boost, which explains why it never hurts its baby relatives because of homicidal rampages."
