The Open Woods is the first area Maxwell and Olimar explore within Pikmin: Colorful Journey the first thing they encounter is the Yellow Pikmin and the Onion. The first cave they both encounter is the Forest Den, which houses Shells. the Open Woods also holds the Underground Flower Bed, Dirt Cavern, Hole of Horror, Wooden Tunnels, And the Rocky Cove. The whole forest is overgrown with nature and has lots of fallen trees and ponds, within the area it has lots of Red Bulborb, and Dwarf Red Bulborbs, with their also being Skitter Leaf.
