The enigmatic Moon Jellyfloat is shorter compared to its relatives, but also wider. Floating a good distance over the ground, the Moon Jellyfloat lacks the ability to inhale Pikmin. Instead, it simply stretches out its bell and descends, trapping Pikmin underneath it like a cage. It will remain on the ground until its captives have been eaten. Pikmin engulfed by a Moon Jellyfloat are digested very quickly, but they can be freed with a well-aimed Pikmin thrown directly atop the creature's bell, stunning it and forcing it upwards, releasing the Pikmin. Unlike other jellyfloats, this enemy leaves behind a salvageable corpse, which shrivels up to about half its original size.
