The Moldy Bulborb is an unfortunate Grub-dog infected by Sporovid spores appearing in Pikmin Evolution. Like the Dwarf Moldy Bulborb the larger variant is a grayish-green corpse barely clinging to life thanks to the clump of mold on its back. The mold commands the Moldy Bulborb to patrol its territory and eat food to satiate the mold within it. The Moldy Bulborb is a very slow walker, which is unsurprising since its essentially a shambling zombie, but the mold on its back lets it sense if prey is behind it, meaning its very difficult to sneak up on with your Pikmin. This is extra tricky as the mold on its back also causes the Moldy Bulborb to create a trail of green mold behind it where it walks, which slows down anyone who crosses it and poisons them, causing those inside the sticky substance to slowly melt and decay inside the mold. The body of the Bulborb is dull to any pain, meaning the only way to deal any meaningful damage is to damage the clump of mold on its back. Due to the moldy trail it creates, only Roach Pikmin can attack them thanks to their spore and poison immunity. The clump of mold on the Moldy Bulborb's backside is quite tanky, and has a minor regenerative property, but is quite sensitive to sudden splashes of fluids. Water stuns the mold and by extension the Bulborb it controls, and temporarily removes its regenerative abilities, making it a good idea to splash a blue syrup on it. However the acidic green syrup is the best item to use against it as it fully corrodes the mold, heavily damaging it and permanently removing its regenerative properties. However don't spray poison on it as it only causes the mold to grow, sure that may cause its host to become even slower, but its health also doubles and increases the likely hood of the mold clump maturing. You see after some time has passes there is a chance for the mold clump to burst out of the host's body and become a Toxstool, with the host withering into a Dwarf Moldy Bulborb to guard it. This chance increases when the Moldy Bulborb gets poisoned or eats too much, both likely scenarios thanks in the damp areas it is found in. However with these tips at your disposal, the Moldy Bulborb may not be as daunting despite its ghoulish appearance may suggest.
