Grey Pikmin

Grey Pikmin are the third-to-last type of pikmin power obtained in Pikmin:Redemption and the only type of pikmin that you can battle as well. You gain this power after jumping into the Smoky Candypop Bud located somewhere in the Flooded Abyss. They originally had the ability to light up dark ares, but since that was given to Crystal Pikmin, they have a new ability. Their new ability is that after 10 days 25 of these pikmin turn into one random candypop bud other than a smoky one.

Appearance

Grey Pikmin are grey-colored pikmin, the grey is the same color as the graphite in a pencil. The major differences between these and other pikmin is that they attack you, you can see them from very far away in the dark, and their Leaf/Bud/Flower is a neon white color. The skin of a Grey Pikmin is very soft and thin. This allows it to receive more sunlight while in dark places. This is also what makes then easy to kill.

How To Kill

Pikmin

The easiest way to kill is to swarm it.

Captains

Three punches will kill one.

Others

Grey Pikmin Leaders are incredibly stupid and will accidentally throw their pikmin off into the abyss, into the mouth of an enemy, or into a hazard.

Locations

They first time you face Grey Pikmin it is a mini-boss fight with a squad of 50 Grey Pikmin and a Grey Pikmin Leader in the Flooded Abyss. Most of the other times you fight them are in caves.

Pikmin: Shadow Planet

In Pikmin: Shadow Planet, Grey Pikmin are the 10th and last type of pikmin found. They are magnetic, so they are pulled towards treasure. ( they will stand on whatever side of your squad that is closest to treasure.) They can also dig up treasure, like whites. Unfortunately, they are sometimes pulled towards magnetic objects like certain cannon beetle boulders. They are normal looking pikmin, grey, obviously, and have four 'fingers' instead of three.
