The Giant Glazed Breadbug is a subspecies of breadbug related to the Giant Breadbug. Its most notable feature is the hard shell that protects its back, which resembles a powdered sugar glaze. It serves as the boss of the cave, Bakery of Beasts.

It wanders around, seeking out treasure and other carriable objects to bring back to its den. It ignores the presence of Pikmin, and can only kill them if it manages to drag an object that Pikmin are holding back to its den. Additionally, it replenished its HP instantly upon collecting an object.

It can be damaged in three different ways, two of which involve needing to destroy the armor on its back with Rock Pikmin. The first method is to destroy its armor and have Pikmin grab onto an item it’s carrying. If a sufficient amount of Pikmin have been assigned to carry the item, they will overpower it and drag the item back to the E.C.T.. When the item is collected, the Giant Glazed Breadbug will hit its head on the E.C.T, reducing its HP by one third. Another method involves breaking its armor and pelting it with Purple Pikmin, which are heavy enough to crush it. It should be noted that either of these methods are completely ineffective unless its armor is broken. The final and quickest method involves using Ultra-bitter spray to petrify it, then ordering any Pikmin to attack it.
