The Giant's Gymnasium is the second cave found in the Lover's Spring, and the third cave overall in Pikmin 5: Apex Predator. It is found on the eight o'clock position of the Lover's Spring's landing site and can be accessed after using Blue Pikmin to build several bridges to it. Purple Pikmin are found here, and so can 1,575 Pokos' worth of treasure.

Upon approaching the entrance, a cutscene begins. Rhea comments that the Treasure Gauge shows large amounts of treasure in a few locations. She suggests that the treasure is either in piles or are singular heavy objects. Rhea then asks if the player character has something that can lift heavy objects, alluding to the Bot of Burden.

Sublevel 1

The player lands in the bottom left corner in a square. The right half of the map is all water with Skeeterskates which will shoot water onto the land. The left half of the square contains the Bumbling Snitchbugs, Mamutas, and Skutterchucks. Any one of the enemies will have the Quill of the Commandments. Start killing enemies until the treasure falls out of one of the enemies. Be careful not to lose Pikmin, as this treasure requires the strength of 28 Pikmin to carry! Bring it back to the starting area and collect 300 Pokos. Once found, move to the next floor.

Sublevel 2

The layout is randomly generated except for a circle with four Violet Candypop Buds. Take 20 of any Pikmin and throw them into the Candypop Buds. A cutscene will play introducing the Purple Pikmin. After the cutscene, crack the eggs open and nectarize your Pikmin. Then, hit both Flint Beetles twice for their sprays. Finally, hit the Iridescent Glint Beetle and the Weight of Atlas will fall out of it. The Purples will come in handy here, as it needs 56 Pikmin to carry. Carry it back to the starting area for 250 Pokos. Finally, jump to the next sublevel.

Sublevel 3

The layout here is the final sublevel of White Flower Garden, except for the extra Snagret and Downy Snagrets in the arena as well. It is recommended to keep the Purples to the side here unless you are a particularly skilled player, as they can only be found in Candypop Buds before getting the Purple Onion. Take the Red and Blue Pikmin and kill the Downy Snagrets first, followed by the Burrowing Snagrets. Take the Air Brake back to the starting area for 100 Pokos and jump to the next floor.

Sublevel 4

This floor is where the Giant's Gymnasium Primarily gets its name. It is an obstacle course in two parts, with floating platforms and treadmills. The map is a massive square with two large towers, one in the bottom left and top right corners respectively, and three smaller towers in between the larger ones. The first part is to climb to the top of the bottom-left tower. There are three diagonal ramps the player has to take to reach the top, with an Armored Cannon Beetle Larva at the top of each one. The first ramp has two areas to escape to on the side, the second ramp has one, and there is none on the third ramp. However many or few Pikmin the player chooses to bring, make sure to pay attention to the direction the Armored Cannon Beetle Larva is faced when fought, because its buck attack could throw Pikmin off the edge to their deaths if they are not facing directly down the ramp. After clearing the tower, the second part begins. There are three towers with treadmills for floors and three floating platforms going back and forth to allow the player and squadron to traverse. The floating platforms start at the bottom of the previous treadmill and send the player to the top of the next one. Bring the Purple Pikmin up to the first floating platform and get onto the first treadmill. Make sure they all have flowers before starting, and use the Nectar eggs if they don't. The first treadmill moves at 60% Pikmin speed, allowing the player to keep pace at the edge of the treadmill and wait for the floating platform. The second treadmill moves at 80% Pikmin speed. This time the player will have to adjust to the Purple Pikmin. They can keep exact pace with the treadmill, but will start to fall behind speed when they head right towards the floating platform. The final treadmill moves at 90% Pikmin speed. The player will have to stay on the top floating platform as long as they can to have the most time to maneuver the Purple Pikmin. Get on the final floating platform and the player will be on the top-right tower with the Deactivated Explosive treasure. If moving the whole squad of Purples proves too difficult, the player can carry each individual Purple Pikmin to the top-right tower. The Deactivated Explosive is a yellow call bell with a smiley face. The Purple Pikmin are emphasized across the treadmill as 145 Pikmin are needed to lift the treasure. Carry it back to the starting area and get 725 Pokos for the trouble involved. Next, jump to the final floor.

The floor layout is an sand filled arena with stone walls and three gates. The southern gate leads to an area outside the arena, where the player starts, and the north gate leads to the escape geyser. The final gate is on the west side, containing 20 nectar eggs. Bring your entire squad and enter the arena. Disband your squad and slowly approach the center. Once close enough, the Ironclad Clint Beetle will pop out of the sand. It sees you as a threat to its eggs, and a boss fight will begin. It will initially charge at the player, and then start walking around like an Iridescent Flint Beetle. The danger lies in that it is a much larger beetle with the same speed as the the Iridescent Flint Beetle, and will eat Pikmin if it walks into them. Start throwing Pikmin at it and it will land on its back with a weight requirement of 30. The player can throw 30 individual Pikmin, but if they kept their Purple Pikmin alive, it will only take three of them to flip the Ironclad Clint Beetle over. it will continue sliding on its back until it hits a stone wall. Throw all the Pikmin you have onto its exposed belly and it should take down between a third and half of its health before it gets back up. After removing a third of its health, the Ironclad Clint Beetle starts to become more agile. It will not simply slide into the wall from this point on. If there is too much distance between where the Ironclad Clint Beetle is flipped and the stone wall it will hit, it will be able to flip itself back over before hitting its head and getting stunned. There is an additional reduction in distance when two thirds of its health is removed. After killing the Ironclad Clint Beetle, it spits out the Giant's Centrifuge. It requires a modest 80 Pikmin to carry, and grants 200 Pokos when brought to the ship. A cutscene begins where the rescue crew talks about the Pikmin Diversifier, an item that allows large corpses to be split into several Pikmin Onions. Once this ends, the player can choose to pillage the Ironclad Clint Beetle's eggs or not. Afterwards, head to the geyser at the north gate and the Giant's Gymnasium is complete!
