The Forest of Beginnings is the first area in Pikmin: Elements.. Red Pikmin are found here, as well as 3 caves and 5 treasures.
First Visit
Upon landing down on the Pikmin Planet, the SS dolphin crashes into a large tree. It is mostly undamaged, although Louie tumbles out of his cockpit into another area of the forest. The SS dolphin lands, and the new AI that was installed during the remodeling (Strangely acting very similar to the one on the Hocotate Ship in Pikmin 2) tells Olimar to go find Louie. While exploring, Olimar finds a Red Onion and activates it. He soon uses the pellets the pellets nearby to amass A group of 5 Pikmin. Olimar uses them to defeat a Dwarf Red Bulborb, using it to get 3 more Pikmin. They encounter a Paper bag, requiring 13 Pikmin. The SS dolphin then tells Olimar how to switch between captains, and upon switching to Louie, he finds a group of 5 lone Pikmin. Using all 13 Pikmin, Olimar and Louie crush the Paper bag and reunite. Using some pellets from Louie's area, they get enough Pikmin to crush another Paper bag, which reveals the first cave, Bulborb Cavern, as well as the Sorcerer's Stone (A shiny rock) which is worth 100 Pokos. The SS dolphin then tells the Duo how to upgrade Pikmin, and they upgrade the Red Pikmin. Then they go down into Bulborb cave, and upon leaving, the first day ends.
Layout
Upon landing, there is a semi-straight path leading to the Red Onion, a few pellets, A Dwarf Bulborb, (Day 1 only) and a paper bag requiring 13 Pikmin. Past the bag and there are 2 paths: One to the right and one to the left. The one to the left Leads to a area with a few Dwarf Bulborbs and some pellets. (Day 2 and after) There is also a Paper bag requiring 50 Pikmin. Past that and a Dirt Wall, there is a Red Bulborb blocking the path. Past it is the Rain Shield, and the Purple garden. Then if you go right, there is a Bag requiring 101 Pikmin. Upon crushing it, you can find the Body bandage. There is also a weighing machine that you can throw a captain on, and some pikmin on the other side and the captain will get lifted up to a cliff with the Entertainment Cube. There is also a entrance to the Spelunker hole, guarded by An Armored Red Bulborb. There is also a Electric wall, and past it is the Entertainment Player.
