Elephant Longlegs

The Elephant Longlegs is the boss of The Dead G. By defeating the Elephant Longlegs, you receive the Waterproof Warrior. The Elephant Longlegs is known as the Elephant Longlegs due to the possession of its trunk. The trunk is capable of sucking up Pikmin and eating them. Unlike other Arachnorbs, it only has two legs instead of four. The smaller two legs are actually arms.

Strategy

To defeat the Elephant Longlegs, it is suggested you attack with Purple Pikmin. The reason for this is that the arena is covered in Purple Goop and it will suck and drown up all other Pikmin. What also makes Purple Pikmin the best choice is the trunk of the Elephant Longlegs is in the range of Purple Pikmin if they are thrown. To start the battle, provoke the Elephant Longlegs by getting close to it to have it attempt to suck up Pikmin. If the Elephant Longlegs is standing directly above Purple Goop, it will suck it up and it will be stunned trying to get it out of its trunk. When the Elephant Longlegs gets the Purple Goop out, call your Pikmin to escape having them sucked up. When the Elephant Longlegs has half of its health depleted, it will start picking up Purple Goop to catch Pikmin. Purple Pikmin will be immune to this attack and it is another reason why they are recommended. The Elephant Longlegs will also start walking a little faster and it will make the battle a little more difficult. Repeat the strategy until the Elephant Longlegs is dead and then you'll receive the Waterproof Warrior!
