The Cyan Bulborb appears in Pikmin 251. It is a relative of the Hairy Bulborb, having a white, hairy backside. It has peach-colored skin, a blue backside, and bright blue eyes. It sleeps, usually in the company of Frost Bulborbs, its dwarf counterpart, unless it is disturbed, causing it to wake up. When disturbed, the Cyan Bulborb will give chase, and when enough damage has been dealt to the creature, its hair flies off of its body. Sneaking up on it from behind while it is sleeping and attacking it until it dies is the optimal strategy for taking one out.

“Yet another new variety of grub-dog to add to the list! This one has a yellow-gold nose similar to Red Bulborbs, but with the large amounts of hair that gave the Hairy Bulborb its name. These bulborbs also have thick skin under the fur that makes them heavily resistant to purple pikmin. It must stay nice and warm under that thick coat of fur. It almost reminds me of my dog, Bulbie. We always let his fur grow out during the cold months to help keep him warm. I hope he's doing okay with the rest of the family.”

The Cavernfrost Bulborb is a species of Grub-dog, more specifically a Bulborb. It's a hybrid of Blue Bulborb and Hairy Bulborb, which has carried the traits over from Hairy Bulborbs and Blue Bulborbs of Warm climate resistance and Cold climate resistance, leading it to be spread widely across PNF-404. It also has a large health amount (2500, more than twice a red bulborbs' health.), and acts similarly to the Blue Bulborb, for example it lives in a slush pond akin to the water puddles for blue bulborbs, and it peeks out of it's slush pond whilst sleeping. It ressembles a Hairy Bulborb with Tanny-coloured skin and gills, with white fur covering it's back, underneath aforementioned fur is a Dark cyan-coloured back with Azure spots.

“The Cavernfrost bulborb is a recently-discovered species of bulborb. Initial sighters presumed it was a bizzarre Hairy bulborb, but further ressearch has proven this theory wrong. It's ressemblance to Hairy Bulborbs originates from the fact it is a hybrid of Blue Bulborbs and Hairy Bulborbs. The dark cyan colour of it's back originates from their consumption en masse of delphinidins, and so does the azure colour on their spots.”

“Take lumpy specimen, and take it's toungue. Let the toungue cook in an oiled frying pan, flip it every 5 minutes during a span of 10 minutes, and while it cooks, prepare a PNF-404-native purple onion (not a purple pikmin onion) and a sauce mixture of hocotatian mayonnaise and pepper. When the toungue is done, cover it in sea salt and then let it repeat the last proccess, this time add the sliced purple onions and thyme for seasoning. Put the mixed condiment in a souffle cup, and when the main dish is ready, serve immediatly. It goes well alongside lemonade.”
