Equine Culinid

Main article: Equine Culinid

The Equine Culinid is a large mosquito-like creature that uses its haustellum to suck up nectar, sprays, and Pikmin, usually to the point of engorging itself so much that it can no longer fly. It can lay eggs that hatch into Equine Larva and can inject Ujadani into eggs it drinks from. A majority of its body is protected by thick armor, except for its eyes and its abdomen.

Spindly Culinid

Main article: Spindly Culinid

The Spindly Culinid feeds exclusively upon nectar. It may be found resting idly on the ground or walls, alone, or in groups consisting of up to five individuals that travel together. They remain completely stationary and motionless until approached by Pikmin that have bud- or flower-stage maturities, which they fly after, or leaders or leaf-stage Pikmin, which they flee from.
